Buy Back By Post

Send your currency by post to our London Bridge office using Royal Mail special delivery.

You will need to ensure you have all the required documentation included with your currency when sending it to us.

If you wish to send us your currency, please read below.

Required Documentation

When sending us your currency by Royal Mail special insured delivery, please ensure the relevant documentation is included with your currency and with print out.

We require a copy of your valid passport or driving licence with your currency. The name on this identification must correspond to the name of the beneficiary's UK Sterling bank account to which we will send the payment for the exchange. Please note we will only remit the payment to the senders bank account, which must be a private individual.

Transactions that exceed £2,500 or equivalent (in a one-off or multiple transactions)
> The ID that you provide must be certified (see further below).

Transactions that exceed £5,000 or equivalent (in a one-off or multiple transactions)
> You will need to send us the following documentation:

Certified copy of your Passport or driving licence

  • Proof of source of funds
  • Proof of reason for transaction
  • Proof of address dated within the last three months (utility bill or bank statement etc. online bank statements and mobile phone bills are not acceptable)

This will need to be sent with your currency in the post or separately by email.

We will endeavour to contact you to acknowledge the order and confirm the rate on the day that we receive your currency. We will then pay the Sterling into your named UK bank account, it can take up to 4 working days but in most cases it is the next working day.

We do not accept 500 Euro (EUR) or 1000 Swiss Franc (CHF) notes.
4 or more notes we require a certified copy of a Passport or Driving Licence.
Who can certify a document?

Please make sure you ensure your special delivery for the sterling equivalent inside.
(Max £2500 per package, for example £5000 will need to be sent in two packages.)

ACE-FX Limited will not bear any liability for delays, losses or damages resulting from being provided with incorrect beneficiary account details. It is the client's responsibility to ensure that all details provided to ACE-FX Limited are valid and accurate. If a payment is sent to an incorrect beneficiary/account, a fee will be payable by the client to ACE-FX Limited to cover the cost of admin and the recall of the payment.
